It is my brother's experience.
When he was thirteen, he was in a traffic accident.
At that time, he was going to school.
He rode bicycle, and he was about to across the street.
The street was full of cars.
He was hit by car, and he dropped another car's bonnet,
and he was thrown down to the street.
He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
My mother and I went to hospital soon.
He was on the bed with unconsciusness.
During at that time, he had a kind of astral projection.
(astral projection means ''yuutairidatsu'' in Japanese)
But it was little strange.
when he was on the bed,
my mother was standing, and I sat the chair.
But in his astral projection, who onthe bed was me!
And he sat the chair. But, another situation was accurate.
He saw the room, my mother, nurse, doctor, in his dream.
It was strange.
If he had not wear the helmet, he could have be died.
I think wearing the helmet is important!
It's a good story, and you're certainly right...it's important to wear a helmet. Bicycle riders have to wear them (by law) in Australia. If the police find you not wearing a helmet, you will be fined.
